attractive and functional
This works! It took almost 2 weeks for the bluebirds to feel comfortable going in. Best part the bigger piggish birds can't get in.
My husband used to jump up and scare the unwanted birds from eating the worms when he caught them in the act. Now he does not have to fill the feeder as often and he can do other things around the house. Patience...Patience...Patience ;)

Great for the job!
I was skeptical at first, since the bluebirds didn't seem interested. But after a very patient reply from customer service, I waited a bit longer and voila, the bluebird party has begun!
It IS true that starlings can poke their heads in and steal a worm now and then, but starlings prefer to gobble so seldom appear at this feeder.

Nicely made!
High quality product, looks like it will last forever. The wrens and bluebirds were almost immediately right at home. Have given it 4 stars rather than 5 because it wouldn't have to be filled as often if there were two mealworm dishes instead of one (there's room) and it could use additional grating on the second row of the center part of the "jail," since the starlings can unbelievably still reach the dish from the center.

Love this feeder!
Best feeder ever for bluebirds. Squirrels and starlings can't get to the food. Bluebirds figured out quickly how to access food. Even the fledglings were eating from it in no time.
