Covered feeding for cardinals

Cardinals love platform feeders because they offer secure footing. Our Cardinal Fly Thru feeder is better than a platform because it has a stable base and a clear roof that protects seed from snow, rain and moisture. Cardinals can perch or enter from two large entry holes on either end or through the acrylic sides. The large feeding area lets you offer any seed or blend, even pieces of fruit. Clearview plastic with red recycled plastic that keeps its vibrant color and good looks for years. Hang with built-in hanging loop. Dimensions are 11-5/8 x 11-7/8 x 9-3/8 inches tall.

  • Cardinal Fly Thru Feeder, fill with your favorite seed
  • Invite cardinals & others to feed in your yard, while enjoying easy views
  • Features four wide fly-through openings with easy feeding for your birds
  • Easy to clean & fill
  • Made in the USA, available exclusively at Duncraft

Pretty, but too big.
I looked at this on the web site for a long time. It went on sale, and I snatched it. Love the red, but concerned about the plexi being too flimsy for long-term use. Should use a mesh tray on the bottom. Also, it is so large that nuisance birds have taken over, eat all the food, and chase away the cardinals. I love my cardinals and need another option which I'm sure I'll find at Duncraft. They are a good company.

I really like this feeder
I bought this feeder for my red squirrels. I had to position the feeder so that they had easy access from the tree as the first way I had positioned it they kept sliding off. The small birds like sparrows, titmice, and chickadee's have also used it, but I haven't seen any cardinals in it. It's been up about 3-4 months and seems to be holding up well. The only thing I don't like so much is filling it as you have to be careful it doesn't fall out the hole opposite the one you're pouring seed into.
