Have been looking for a way to feed mealworms to bluebirds without other birds stealing all the food. This is the answer!!! First day - crows, mocking birds, starlings all jumped on the feeder trying to get the worms. I only filled the dish half way - no matter how hard they tried, the food stayed in the dish and they could not get to it. Bluebirds found worms right away and continue to use every day. Good for live and dried mealworms. Pricy but worth every penny because I use less food.

We hang the feeder on our deck along with seed feeders. The worms are enjoyed by titmice, chickadees, phoebes, and, of course, bluebirds.
