Best feeder I have used
I have used many oriole feeders over the years and this is the best. First, for some reason, my orioles won't use a feeder with the circular perches. The large opening in the reservoir makes cleaning a breeze(required if you aren't trying to poison your birds). The base easily comes apart for cleaning (rotate both halves), but you have to reassemble it with the base in an upright position or you will trap the bee guards rendering them ineffective. After cleaning, be sure the bee guards move freely in their holders as they are easily displaced. I very rarely get a hornet in the feeder or an occasional small fly. If you tip the partially or fully filled feeder when removing or installing it, it will drip as do all other similar feeders. My first feeder lasted about 6 years before the sun weakened the reservoir and it cracked(even polycarbonate won't last forever).

Awesome Feeder!
I am buying another one of these after the clear top on our first one began to leak after more than ten years of use, probably from sun damage. Two other reviewers have complained about this feeder. Honestly, this is the best nectar feeder we have found. It assembles easily. Unlike other nectar feeders with very small necks, which make the nectar holder difficult to clean, the large neck on this one makes cleaning easy. Plus the base comes apart for easy cleaning and does not leak when reassembled properly. We still have all of the bee guards, which have always worked well. Not once have we had a bee in this feeder. Yes, the nectar will run out of the feeding holes if the feeder is tipped too much so we always empty the old nectar out of it outside and once filled we wait to tip it upright until we are outside. BUT that makes it easy for the birds to drink the nectar.

Best Oriole Feeder Ever!
I have tried many oriole feeders on the market. By far this one has the best design. Comes apart for easy cleaning. Yes, bees can shove the bee guards in with another bee but just about any feeder out there will allow bees to penetrate some way or another. I highly recommend this feeder. I had to shop online as my store stopped carrying this brand.

Not the best design
I bought this feeder after seeing a couple of Bullock's Orioles at my hummer feeders. While assembling it, I promptly broke off one of the little 'balls' that prevent bees/flies getting into the feeder port. The company did send replacement parts, but I feel their assembly directions could be a little clearer. Also, I got a sugar water bath when I took the feeder down for cleaning. It's hard to hold onto as you are snapping the two parts together before filling. In addition, you can't tell when the bottom of the unit is snapped in place - hence the sugar water bath. I kind of wish I hadn't bought this with my hard-earned money, but at least the Orioles feed from it. Thank you.
