I now have three of these suet feeders...started with pine cones...then nuthatches...then oak leaves. Was inspired on a Spring 2023 trip to Sedona, AZ by the bird-friendly home we rented. Looked around for additions to make our MD backyard more welcoming to our feathered friends. Started with Duncraft's sphere hummingbird feeders--need to write a review of those:) and moved on to Suet feeders and a bird bath. Anyway--these suet feeders have been awesome! We have a lot of squirrels in our neighborhood and they can't get to these feeders, presumably because the large "roof" deters them and below that--there is no place to sit. The birds that can hang on to the bottom and sides of the feeders have a great time. We've seen as many as five or six at one feeder. Just returned from another trip to AZ, cleaned and resupplied the feeders (mid-November) hoping to enjoy a few visits from our overwintering birds in MD before renewing the hummingbird feeders in the spring.
