The moment a squirrel arrives, the metal sleeve drops down to activate the cute ladybug metal portal protectors, shutting off access to seed. Extra spacing between the tube and outer sleeve prevents debris from blocking the feeding ports, while the rubber grommet snuggles against the lid to keep the seed dry.
