The curved perch positioning encourages cardinals and small songbirds to eat, but prevents all squirrels from feeding. Hang the feeder so that squirrels can only reach the feeder from above. Keep it away from branches or poles where the squirrel can just reach over to the feeding ports. Each perch is individually sprung and calibrated for birds up to the weight of a cardinal.
The metal cap prevents squirrels from reaching seed from the feeder top. Built in seed flow director keeps seed fresh at all four ports. The cap and feeder base are evening blue powder coated metal. Hanging, holds 5 lbs.
